Creamy Microwave Oatmeal

1/3 cup oatmeal "old fashioned"
2/3 cup skim milk
1/4 cup raisins and pinch cinnamon (optional)
sugar or aspartame (Equal)

Combine oatmeal, milk and raisins in a deep soup bowl. Microwave on high until entire surface boils. With a newer, high power microwave that heats to center of food evenly, this will be 1 1/2 to 2 minutes; with an older machine you may need to stop it to stir several times and cook longer total.
Remove and add sugar (1-2 level teaspoons) or aspartame (I prefer less than 1/2 packet Equal; it doesn't taste artificial if the food is only slightly sweet.)

Serves one.
